RICHMOND, Virginia — Four Powerball tickets sold in Virginia are $1 million winners.
The Virginia Lottery says each ticket matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball in Wednesday night's drawing. They were sold in Arlington, Daleville, Harrisonburg and Richmond.
Fifteen tickets sold in Virginia each won $10,000.
Two tickets sold in Arizona and Missouri matched all six numbers to win the record $587.5 million jackpot.
The numbers drawn for Wednesday night are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29. The Powerball is 6.
Powerball sales surged in Virginia during the run-up to Wednesday's drawing. Lottery officials say the state reaped about $13.3 million in revenue from sales that began after the Oct. 3 drawing.
