Former Secretary of State Waren Christopher visited Charlottesville Tuesday (4/14) for a public conversation at the University of Virginia.
He worked under the Clinton administration as the 63rd Secretary of State and as the Co-Chair of the National War Powers Commission.
He talked about public service and policy issues in front of a crowd at UVa's Miller Center for Public Affairs.
Christopher was also given the 2009 Thomas Jefferson Foundation medal in Citizen Leadership.
Christopher wasn't the only former Secretary of State speaking in Charlottesville Tuesday (4/14). Lawrence Eagleburger spoke at Piedmont Virginia Community College.
Eagleburger served under President George H.W. Bush and lives in the Charlottesville area.
