A Greene County jury began hearing testimony Monday afternoon in the capital murder trial of Berman Justus.
Justus allegedly shot his estranged wife's live-in boyfriend at their home back in November of 2003. That same night authorities say he shot his wife in her car along Route 33.
The defense is arguing Justus is not guilty by reason of insanity.
The Commonwealth will continue presenting its case on Tuesday. The trial is expected to last eight days.
