If you're driving through the University of Virginia area Thursday night, expect traffic delays.

Nearly 60,000 fans should attend the football game. The UVa Cavaliers take on North Carolina at Scott Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

At the same time, Disney on Ice premieres at the John Paul Jones Arena, which will bring up to 3,000 more visitors to our area.

UVa Police say they will have many officers on hand to keep the traffic under control.

"We recommend anyone who doesn't have to be in that area not to drive in that area tomorrow evening and add to the congestion," said Captain Michael Coleman, of the University Police Department.

Police will close three roads near the stadium before and after the game: Alderman Road, Stadium Road and McCormick Road.
