If there is one guy who knows close elections, it’s Democratic State Senator Creigh Deeds.
Just last year, Deeds lost an election for Attorney General by only 300 votes.
That election was one of only two recounts ever to take place in Virginia.
Deeds spoke Wednesday at the Northside Library. He says Webb has a solid lead with only a few precincts not tabulated.
“Two of those precincts are in James City County in the middle of the James River and I don't think they'll get votes there. The other one I'm not sure where it is, but will it be enough to change? I don't know. Jim Webb will walk away with about 7,000 votes,” Deeds said.
If Allen calls for a recount it could be another two months before a Senator is declared.
