A sign that recently went up on the stalled Landmark Hotel project in Charlottesville has prompted some questions.
It is a banner for Bovis Lend Lease, a major international contractor. Calls to Bovis to see what connection they have to the Landmark have not been returned.
CBS19 checked with several local business and government leaders. All told us they have not heard of any movement on the hotel project.
Not much of significance has happened at the site on the Downtown Mall in four months. The future of the hotel is tangled in lawsuits.
Halsey Minor, hotel owner, has been quoted recently as saying he was going to bring in a new developer and contractors to restart the project.
