You were asked to show us your Charlottesville by the Charlottesville-Albemarle Convention and Visitors Bureau, and you certainly did.
The bureau got more than a thousand pictures during its three week photo contest. Entries were sought after with the idea of showcasing the region through the eyes of those who care most.
The bureau's director said his office is bursting at the seams with pictures of everything Charlottesville.
"We really had no idea what kind of response we would get. We were over-whelmed. We've had more than a thousand entries that have come in. It was just a phenomenal success for us," said Mark Shore.
About a dozen winners will be selected to receive prize money to pay for rights to have their picture used in the bureau's marketing projects.
