On Monday, the State Board of Elections certified the results of the November 7th elections.
It confirmed Democrat Jim Webb's narrow victory over Senator George Allen. Webb's official margin of victory was 9329 votes. That is a difference of less than four tenths of a percentage point.
The results did not change after the canvass was completed November 16th.
The Virginia Senate race garnered national attention because Webb's victory tipped control of the senate to the Democrats.
