Albemarle County Police are investigating two robberies.

The Little Market, on Plank Road near Batesville, was robbed just before 7:30pm Wednesday.

A man came in, and forcefully took money from the clerk. She suffered some minor cuts and bruises. The suspect then drove off, headed towards Batesville.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'3, thin build, wearing a red and white shirt and dark pants.

Albemarle County Police are also investigating an armed robbery at the Oak Hill Food Mart.

It happened just before 8 p.m. in the 600 block of Country Green Road. Witnesses tell police that a man walked into the store, brandished a knife and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are searching for a light skinned black male, 5'8, 175 pounds, last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans. Police hope surveillance cameras in the store will provide some clues.
