The Toy Lift project in Charlottesville collected well over their 18,000 toy goal on Friday.

Many people in our area dropped by the distribution center on Saturday to lend a hand and help sort through piles of toys, books and bikes.

But Toy Lift organizers say they need more volunteers to help with the distribution of the toys.

"We need folks to help with clean up tomorrow afternoon. So if they could show up between 11:00 and 12:00 there's a need for volunteers to help with clean up. We only have two days to clean this facility up, pack everything up and get it out til we turn it back over to the landlord. so a lot happens on Sunday afternoon," said Mack Tate.

The Toy Lift distribution center is located on Bent Creek Road in Charlottesville.
