Members of Governor Tim Kaine's Start Strong Council were in Charlottesville Monday night.
The council is looking at ways to provide affordable and high quality programs for preschool students and they are soliciting ideas from Charlottesville residents.
The governor wants all Virginia children to get a quality education and he believes it starts with four year olds.
“We have many single parent families and we have many families with both parents working. So, increasing whatever the income level families that are simply not able to give the time and attention to children,” said Secretary of Education Tom Morris.
Members of the council include Patricia Kluge, chairwoman of the Kluge Estate Winery.
