The spring-like temperatures that have been blanketing the east coast have caused a decline in winter sport sales.

Ski and snow boarding shops across our area have reported a decrease in their usual steady sales.

One of the managers at 'Freestyle' Adrenaline Sports retailer store in Charlottesville said that they are hopeful that snow will come soon.

"It's been a slow start. Past winters have definitely been better by this time," said Jesse Thompson, a manager at Freestyle.

Trace Wiggins, an avid skier, said, "This is probably one of the warmest winters that I can remember in a long time."
