After searching for the 35 year old in Shenandoah National Park since Tuesday, Joseph Leger, Jr. was finally found in Madison, West Virginia at a relatives house.
Leger entered the park Monday night and hiked south for two days. He left the park at Route 33 and hiked into nearby Elkton, Virginia .
Through a combination of hitchhiking and walking, Leger made his way to Madison, 20 miles south of Charleston, West Virginia.
As many as 50 people including park personnel, volunteers, dog teams and helicopters had been searching for Leger since Tuesday.
