Petersburg fire officials say three children were killed and five people were critically injured after a fire tore through a house early today.
Petersburg Fire Marshall Charles Moore says three boys, ages
six, eleven and 15 were found dead at the scene.
Moore says the three children who were killed were on the top
floor of the house, which collapsed.
Moore says a six-month-old girl, a 14-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl and two adults were in critical condition following the fire. Two other adults were hospitalized with less serious injuries.
He says all ten people were related. The victims' identities have not been released. According to Moore, a neighbor reported the fire at just before 2:30 am, and it took fire officials 30 minutes to extinguish.
