A three vehicle crash Monday afternoon shut down Louisa Road in Albemarle County for two hours, and sent two people to the hospital.
It happened around 4pm about a half-mile from the intersection of Louisa Road with Route 250.
Police said a Ford SUV crossed the center line and hit an oncoming Chrysler coupe.
Both vehicles then stuck an oncoming UPS tractor trailer.
The driver of the SUV, who had to be cut out of the vehicle, and the driver of the car were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the big rig did not need treatment.
Monday night police said they were still investigating the cause of the accident, and if any charges would be filed.
