The Mediation Center of Charlottesville supports President Obama's "Beer Summit."
The Center wrote a letter to Obama agreeing with his decision to invite Professor Henry Gates and Sgt. James Crowley to the White House to meet and speak with each other.
The Mediation Center is a place where people in conflict can come together with experienced mediators who help resolve disputes.
The Center believes the "Beer Summit" will be a beneficial process for all parties involved.
"If both parties come and meet with President Obama, sit down and listen to each other, I think that could be an ultimately incredible process," said Patrice Kyger, the active Executive Director of the Mediation Center.
Center officials say mediation allows two arguing parties to transform conflict into an opportunity for growth.
