Employees at Charlottesville's City Hall are mourning the loss of one of their co-workers.
Staff at the city's treasurer's office returned to work after the weekend to learn Thomasina Bryant was killed in a car crash.
Virginia State Police said the 36 year old died after she hit an ice patch and spun out of control on Interstate 81 in Winchester. Bryant worked for the city for 13 years.
"She made friends with everyone inside city hall, and outside city hall who came in to have their business taken care of. She was just a very gregarious person who enjoyed people, and was a huge asset to city hall," said Charlottesville City Spokesperson Ric Barrick.
Barrick also said Bryant's son was in the car during the accident. He is in the hospital for his injuries.
