U.S. Airways has announced price cuts for 37 cities including Charlottesville Albemarle Airport. Some prices have been cut up to 65 percent.
"We'll generate more traffic and eventually more revenue flying out of Charlottesville than if folks actually got in their car and drove to Dulles. So we believe this will be a revenue generating initiative and we expect more people to fly out of Charlottesville" said Chuck Allen of U.S. Airways.
Some of those reductions will between 35% and 65% and those changes go in to effect immediately.
