Thursday, a former Albemarle County High School girl's soccer coach pled guilty to child porn charges.
Thirty-nine-year-old Raja Jabbour told a judge he was guilty on four counts.
“There were hundreds of images and movie files, all sorts of ages of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Nancy Healey.
Some of the images were of infants and young children engaged in sexual acts with each other, with adults and with animals.
Jabbour asked a 12-year-old girl he met over the internet to send him photos of her engaged in sexual acts. She complied and investigators found those photos on one of four computers they confiscated.
“They are disturbing. He asked her to do some things no 12-year-old girl should be engaging in,” said Healey.
Jabbour was arrested by an undercover officer in Ohio in 2004. The officer was posing as a mother who wanted to have a man teach her young girls about sex.
Jabbour's attorney said he's sure no local children were victims. “He is adamant that he has never inappropriately touched a child and the government has acknowledged they don't have evidence that he did,” said Defense Attorney John Zwerling.
Prosecutors interviewed hundreds of children who may have had contact with Jabbour.
“Parents should take the responsible action of talking to their kids if their kids were in contact with anybody that was ever arrested on these types of crimes,” said Healey.
Prosecutors are recommending Jabbour spend nine years in a federal prison and that he be deported to his native Lebanon upon release.
There's a provision that would allow the government to withdraw from this agreement if they find any evidence that Jabbour has ever touched any child in an inappropriate way.
Jabbour is scheduled to be sentenced on May 1st, 2007.
