Hearing on Traffic Proposals

First up, a plan to make parts of 7 ½ Street, Calhoun, and Franklin one-way and close Old Lynchburg Road all together. Vice-mayor Kendra Hamilton said these are all suggestions from city residents and expects many of them to show up tonight to voice their concerns.

“We're at various stages of exploring different options that the neighborhoods have asked us to explore and what we're going to get tonight is basically a progress report,” said Vice Mayor Kendra Hamilton.

Also on the table, the council will vote whether or not to grant a special permit for a downtown homeless day shelter. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7p.m.
