Hasbro announced that they are recalling a million easy bake ovens that were sold since May of last year.
The company says that it has received reports of children getting their hands caught in the oven's opening.
Five children have suffered burns. Officials at the Consumer Product Saftey Commission say the easy bake oven should only be used by children 8 years-old and up, the recommended guideline age.
"America cooks between 350 and 400 degrees and so does the easy bake oven so when children are getting their hands inside here you are touching a heating element that can get upwards of 350 degrees" said Julie Vallese of the CPSC.
If you bought an easy bake oven and have any questions about the recall you can call 800-601-8418.
