A new campaign going on right here in the Commonwealth is aimed at getting you to think green.
The Piedmont Environmental Council's 'Enlighten Virginia' campaign is a push for people to change the type of light bulbs they currently use.
The group has teamed up with local businesses like Martin's Hardware and Crozet Hardware to offer consumers environmentally safe light bulbs.
"What is actually surprising to a lot of people is that they really use seventy five percent less energy than one of these old light bulbs so if you change your light bulbs than you can actually use four of these using the same amount of energy as using one of these light bulbs," said Rose Jenkins with the PEC.
