With the ice storm headed our way, potential power outages across our area has Dominion Power on stand-by.

They are looking at this storm to be a potentially serious one from the electrical side. They are calling this a quote all hands on deck storm.
Plenty of crews began filing into our area on Tuesday, and there are still several hundred other crews who are on stand-by in case of the worst.

"Once the storm has gone through we will have scouts, patrols out there looking at the damage, and assessing the damage. We will put together a work plan based on what they find, and the way we work is that we basically start with those jobs where we get the most customers back on at once," said Dan Genest.

To report or inquire about power outages, customers call Dominion Virginia Power Customer Service at (888) 667-3000.
