The wet and solid slush caused problems for drivers around the area Wednesday morning as drivers moved cautiously.
"It was rather treacherous coming in especially on Garth Road west of town where Old Garth Road is the ice was all over the roads. I had to take both lanes to get up the hills" said Dave Sappington, a commuter.
V-DOT focused on the primary roads first, then the heavily travelled secondary roads. After those V-DOT attended to neighborhoods and the rural roads.
They will continue to monitor road conditions as the slush and moisture on the road could refreeze and cause problems for drivers later in the day.
