Republican nominee for governor Bob McDonnell may have to answer for an obscene slip of the tongue. On live radio Friday, the former Attorney General used the "f-word" when talking about transportation funding.
WTOP host Mark Plotkin asked McDonnell whether he would raise taxes as governor to help fund transportation projects in the commonwealth. McDonnell responded by saying, "I'm going to find other ways to be able to fund transportation. I've outlined twleve f—ing funding mechanisms that are creative, that are entrepreneurial."
McDonnell was in Charlottesville Saturday to campaign at Scott Stadium ahead of UVa's game against Texas Christian. Neither he nor his staff made any mention of the incident.
The blog notlarrysabato has audio of McDonnell's obscene gaffe.
