New statistics show that more than five million Americans now have Alzheimer's.
It's a ten percent increase from five years ago and it's expected to triple by 2050. There is no cure for Alzheimer's, but there is treatment with early detection.
"It's true the way the medications work they can slow down the progression of the disease so the earlier those medications are started the more effective they are" said Ellen Phipps, Alzheimer's Association.
