Kaine To Release Transportation Amendments

March 22, 2007

Governor Kaine spoke to a group of northern Virginia businesses Thursday, telling them that he plans on releasing several amendments to the transportation bill early next week.

He said that the multi-billion dollar bill could be fixed and offer a solution to commuters on overcrowded roads. He did not offer any specifics about what amendments he will propose.

The General Assembly narrowly passed the transportation bill that plans on raising more than a billion dollars a year in new funds by 2013.
