Presidential Candidates Report Fundraising Totals

Presidential candidates John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani reported their fundraising totals on Monday.

Romney, former Governor of Massachusetts is leading the charge among Republicans. He reported raising 23 million dollars for his presidential campaign.

The front runner in the polls, Giuliani, said his first-quarter donations totaled 15 million dollars. He picked up ten million in March alone.

Senator John McCain reported raising 12 and a half million dollars. His campaign acknowledged it had "hoped to do better."

Fundraising totals are seen as a crucial test for the candidates. They are widely viewed as a barometer on their relative
political health.
