A University of Virginia student charged with brandishing a firearm was released on bond Wednesday.

Christopher Allen Smith was arrested Monday night.

The 19-year-old student was allegedly shooting a movie on grounds using a plastic BB gun, which caused quite a scare.

Smith's bond was set at $10,000. He faces up to 12 months in jail if convicted.
