Charlottesville Police are hoping that new video released will get them closer to an arrest in a string of burglaries that happened on Friday.

The video is from the Subway where thieves picked up the safe and walked out.

The video is from around 1:00 Saturday morning. Police say two white males walked into the building and, though the video doesn't show it, stole the entire safe from the building.

According to police, the men appear to be in their mid-20s. One is described as skinny, the other stocky, and one was wearing an Atlanta Braves baseball hat.

Police aren't sure about the timeline, but they say a total of five businesses were hit overnight on Friday. At the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Be Fabulous Hair Salon on Angus Road, the thieves pried open the safes.

Later, Jack and Jill's and Big Jim's BBQ were also hit, all broken into in similar ways; the pair broke doors and windows to get in.

Police say it's unusual to see what they call three different "safe jobs" all in one night. They are asking anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
