Firefighters at Stony Point Volunteer Fire Company spent much of Friday preparing for the second annual Motorcycle Poker Run.

The event is being held Saturday to raise money for 2-year-old Kelli Frazier who is suffering from a rare and fatal nerve disease. She is the daughter of a firefighter at Stony Point and an Albemarle County teacher.

Organizers say the money raised tomorrow will be donated to the family to help offset the cost of her treatment.

"This is a small way that we can show that we are with them and we are supporting them and letting them know that we appreciate them and we want to help support their cause," said event organizer Eric Santana.

The event begins at Stony Point with the first bike leaving the station at 9 a.m. The raffle begins at 12:30 p.m.
