Free Comic Book Day

Saturday was national Free Comic Book Day.
The day started in California six years ago when the owner of a comic book store thought it would be a good idea to keep the comic book legend in America alive by providing free comic books to fans.
"It's a good way to promote and get kids to read, and then it went national after that and they try and coincide it with big movie releases like Spiderman 3 yesterday," said Patrick Kenney, owner of Destination Comics in Charlottesville.
Some of the free comics included classics like Archie and Spiderman all the way to new ones like Family Guy.
