"For years, I have been saying there's something not right about him," said Commander Bill White of the National Socialist Workers.
White is referring to Kevin Strom. Strom is the former leader of the National Vanguard. He is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of enticing a 10-year-old minor and of child pornography.
"I wonder what took so long for people to catch up with it and to realize he has been doing this very likely for years, if not decades," said White.
Last week, a key witness in the case was involved in what police are calling an incident of road rage. On Wednesday, a woman told police she was forced off the road by two vehicles on Proffit Road and was shot at. Her window was completely shattered.
According to police sources, the woman in the car was Elisha Strom, the estranged wife of Kevin Strom.
"With his arrest, the arrest of one of his men in Massachusetts and the very possible future arrest of other board members, I think eliminating witnesses like Elisha may become high priority for them," said White.
But White says Elisha may not be a very good witness.
"Strom has a history of marrying women with mental problems, and none them are really reliable. I think what is more reliable is the hard evidence that was found," said White.
