Virginia Tech says that its freshman class for next year will be larger than expected. Up slightly from last year, the school has 5,215 students enrolled for next year.
The students were drawn from its largest-ever applicant pool of 19,579. No student was pulled from the waiting list.
According to officials, only seven students declined Tech's admission offer after gunman Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people on campus before taking his own life.
