Former Virginia Jim Gilmore sat down with George Stephanopoulos on ABC's "This Week" to discuss his bid for the White House.
Gilmore said that the Republicans running aren't really solid conservatives.
"I think the key is that we have to get a conservative candidacy up and going and we have to break through the idea that the top three and I had a lot of fun with the Romney thing, because it expressed reality, which is the three people who have gotten into the eyes of the media and continue to get the poll numbers up, are not conservative candidates" said Gilmore.
Gilmore said that both Newt Gingrich and Fred Thompson were credible conservatives.
