Soldiers Remembered At Memorial Day

May 28, 2007

Many gathered at Arlington National Cemetery to remember fallen soldiers this Memorial Day.

Over 300 fallen troops from Iraq and Afghanistan are buried in the cemetery. One mother found peace by visiting the grave site of her son, who was killed by mortar attacks while serving in Iraq.

"When you've lost a child, like in our case, it's hard to understand the pain" said Terri Clifton, mother of fallen soldier.

Nearly 1,000 troops have been killed in Iraq since last Memorial Day.
