The Charlottesville Chamber of Commerce graduated its Leadership Charlottesville Class of 2007 Thursday morning.

The class of 35 area leaders was divided into five groups who developed five projects aimed at bettering our community, such as creating an after-school program at Buford Middle School or a podcast highlighting the problem of poverty in our area.

"It gives a group of people, that are in businesses and are the leaders in our community, an opportunity to learn about their community and understand the challenges and opportunities to get involved," said the Chamber's immediate Past Director, Cathy Train.

Even though the leaders have graduated, many will continue their volunteerism in their areas of interests.
