The University of Virginia Children's Hospital held their 23rd annual Walk for Kids on Saturday.

More than 500 people showed up for the walk.

The walk runs in conjunction with the annual Children's Miracle Network telethon held at UVa Children's Hospital.

"We have a fantastic hospital right here close to out homes and I think everyone just needs to do everything they can to help them give the care that we need to give to our young people," said Joyce Butterfield.

Over the past 23 years, the walk has become the largest contributor to the telethon, raising more than $1.4 million dollars.
