Norris Hall, where a majority of the victims in the Virginia Tech tragedy were killed, will reopen according to an announcement Tuesday.
The building will open June 18th for offices and laboratories but will never again be used for classrooms the university said. Second floor rooms will remain closed.
"That wing will be shut down completely" said university spokesman Larry Hincker.
A plan is being developed to convert the building's classrooms to other uses. The university plans to begin a study this summer on the best long-term use of the building.
