Sunday was the 24th Annual Race Unity Day Picnic in Scottsville.

Organizers said it was a time to get together and celebrate the beauty and the joy of being one human family. Members of the Scottsville community not only enjoyed each others' company, but also good food, drinks and T-shirts.

"This is not any official T-shirt here, but it says 'Color Me Human' and the idea is that all the beautiful colors that human beings come in are something to celebrate like all the different colors of flowers in a garden," said Scottsville's Baha'i Chairman Chris Wade.

Leaders say the ultimate goal of Sunday was to share with everyone the knowledge and the joy of oneness.
