A tractor trailer accident blankets part of I-64 East, mile marker 118, with glass after falling over Monday.

The truck was coming from Route 250 when its load shifted, causing the driver to lose control of the truck. The truck flipped on its side and skidded down I-64.

The truck was carrying 37,000 mirrors. VDOT and state police were directing traffic as both lanes were closed. Traffic slowly moved on the shoulder.

VDOT hopes to have the road cleaned up at the earliest by 4 p.m.
