Families Of Tech Victims Demanding Spot On Panel

June 11, 2007

Some families of the Virginia Tech shooting victims are demanding they have representation on the panel studying the April 16th tragedy.

The panel met Monday in Fairfax. In a statement written on behalf of 13 families it stated that they felt "ostracized." The families also called for a federal commission to look into the shootings.

In response Governor Tim Kaine's press secretary said that the governor appointed panel members with 'specialized expertise" to produce a "thorough, objective and comprehensive review.'
