Game Warden Indicted in Teen Shooting Death

June 12, 2007

A Greene County grand jury has indicted the Robert Ham, game warden, who was involved in the shooting death of a teen back in January.

Alan Cochran, 16, was killed after he allegedly tried to run the officer down with his car. Virginia State Police turned over their report to the Greene County Commonwealth's Attorney in March.

Authorities had been waiting for forensic test results to come back in order to finish their investigation. The game warden had been assisting Greene County Sheriffs in a search for Cochran after authorities said he made threats against a female who feared for her safety.
