Albemarle County have released the name of the victim and the cause of the fatal accident that happened on Louisa Road Monday.
Albemarle County Police say that fog and no seat belt are what contributed to the accident that shut down Louisa Road for several hours.
One person was killed after her car went off the road and flipped over an embankment, landing on its roof. The accident happened along Route 22 near Keswick.
Police identified the victim as 56-year-old Aubrey Dalton of Christiansburg. Investigators say there were no signs of speeding, alcohol or drugs.
