June 12, 2007

Albemarle County High School graduate Patrick Wood announced that he will run for the Albemarle County School Board.

Wood made the announcement Tuesday morning. He is currenlty a teacher at his former high school as well as the president of the Fluvanna Education Association.

He says that both experiences help him as a teacher and as an administrator.

"As a teacher, I feel I would be able to bring my classroom experience in helping my fellow board members make governing decisions," said Wood.

Wood is running for the "at large" seat on the school board. He is a 1985 graduate.
