The family of Virginia Tech gunman Seung-Hui Cho turned over his mental records to the panel investigating the tragedy.
Privacy laws governing health and student records had prevented the panel from seeing Cho's mental health records. Panel Chairman Gerald Massengill says that the records given to the panel by the family are still not all the records they need.
University spokesman Larry Hincker says that the family agreed to turn the records over late last week. Massengill calls the records absolutely essential to the panel's work. He says that he still wants access to Cho's medical school records, particularly his high school records.
