Nelson County Man Sentenced to Jail for Pittbull Attacks

The owner of two pitbulls that attacked a woman back in December pleaded guilty to one count of causing human injury by failing to control his dogs.

The judge sentenced Eric Johnson to five years in prison, all suspended, but six months. Johnson was ordered to pay the victim's medical bills totaling $8,400.

The victim, a Charlottesville woman, suffered bite wounds to her arms legs, back, and face. Johnson also pled guilty to one count of failing to have his dogs vaccinated. He is scheduled to report to jail on July 9th.
