A deadly car crash in Fluvanna County killed one teen and injured three others back in August. Now, after months spent in various hospitals, the driver is back home.

19-year old Matthew Rigsby is paralyzed from the shoulders down. He spends every day in a hospital bed in his mother's living room.

So the Effort Church in Palmyra held a benefit concert to raise money for a wheelchair ramp for Rigsby's home.

The concert featured music, concessions and prayer vigil. Matthew even Skyped the benefit from home.

The benefit raised over $3,500.00. All of the donations will go toward the wheelchair ramp so the teen can get into his home with ease.

On August 20, 2009, Rigsby was driving down Nahor Manor Road in Fluvanna County when he swerved to avoid an oncoming car. The car crashed into a tree, killing passenger Caitlin Conn and injuring Morgan Winter and Dillon Saylor.

If you want to donate but cannot make it to the concert, you can write a check to "Effort Church," in Palmyra.
