Plane Crashes Into House Killing Two

A pilot attempting to return to the air after his small plane ran out of room on a wet runway slammed into a house in Arkansas, killing himself and a woman inside the home. The plane went down shortly after take off near an airport around 3pm Saturday afternoon.

Federal Aviation Administration officials say the pilot "landed long" on the runway Saturday, then tried to reapply power and take off again.

Conway police say the two people killed were the 71-year-old pilot, Hugh Rains of Wichita Falls, Texas, and 71-year-old Janet Brady, of Conway.

A passenger in the plane and another person in the home survived the crash.
