Home Sales Dropping In Virginia

Home sales in Virginia continue to decline. The Virginia Association of Realtors reports that home sales last month fell nearly 16% from June of last year.

The regions with the biggest declines in home sales in June were the Northern Neck with a 59% drop, the Eastern shore at about 58% and Prince William County at 37%.

Home sales did improve though in Martinsville and the Massnutten regions by 25% and in south central Virginia by 20%. So far this year the median sales price for a home in Virginia was $249, 950, compared to $239, 900 last year.
